1996 GMC Sierra

Hi. I have a question. My truck( gmc Sierra 96) was messing up.High rpm,jerking back when you drive. It's an automatic. We cleaned the gas tank and the fuel pump. Checked the vacuum valves and the alternator the tranny. And it's still doing the same thing. So anybody have an idea what it could be?

you received no answer because your complaint is not clear at all,

 

transmission concerns are not easily diagnosed especially on the internet ...

 

take the truck to a shop and have it road tested by a transmission specialist

We took it the shop twice and they didn't find anything wrong with it. They said maybe a dirty fuel filter.

But we changed it and cleaned the fuel pump and gas tank.

(Maybe the injectors)

When you drive it for awhile its fine,then when it idles it starts rumbling (not stalling) and then you go again an while your driving its like jerking back and the rpm goes high. I can't explain but I'm not close to Lloyd minister.

Check the transmission fluid level. When was the last time the transmission filter and fluid have been changed?

I'm not sure when it was changed. We bought it off a used car dealer guy in laronge. It worked for 2 days we didn't want to chance driving it back to the shop as we are isolated. I know the transmission oil is on "hot" and half an inch over the limit. When it idles its still on hot but goes down a little bit. Does that make sense?

I would check the cap and rotor. Check the distributor shaft for sloppiness.
