P04499 - replaced solenoid, timeline for cel clear?

Just wondering how long it takes the cel to clear, and what conditions you need for it to clear after you replace the solenoid/valve down by the front of the gas tank...

i used the advice from the other topic, because i have the 2 port with the tranny vent from the factory, so i just used 5/8" line with clamps, replaced ONLY the solenoid...

drove it around town a 4 or 5 times light is still on.....

fyi the solenoid was factory had 2 cracks in it, 74,000 miles. i DID not change the gas cap yet, i just put one on it last year.

The evap system would have to go through a complete test cycle, which can take time. When I put the tune on my truck, it took over a week of normal driving to get the evap to be "ready" under a system check. Even then the code might not completely clear, you'd be better off finding a store with a scanner to erase it. Some places drag their feet on clearing codes for whatever reason but that is the best thing to do.
