thats my youtube channel. it's a 5.3L but the sound isn't dissimilar. all i did, hack saw off the exhaust right after the hanger near the muffler, paid a shop $60 to weld and bend a piece stainless out the side by the rear wheel, i have photos.... we did the mock up with the truck on a frame lift and the suspension suspended to make sure the pipe didn't confict with any leaf springs.

  At a certain point(maybe not now for you), i just replace them with an OEM part. My opinion is that it will pay for itself in better fuel economy than relying on one that got cleaned with a spray.

  I know the upfitter switch deal well; my truck didn't have it, so in one day I retrofitted/wired the kit, and since I knew I'd have several panels off, I did the same day a High Country cluster, and console charging/cooling. That charger cooling tube was the worst part of the deal. The gauges are MaxTow. I don't need an iDash, as the HC cluster has all that information, and I'm using the OBD for a pass-through for the Intellihaul cameras? or the GM dash camera?, anyway. I'm ending up going under the hood to the fuse box. I identified constant hot/switched hot/illumination and have some piggyback taps in. Just waiting for an 4-wire 18-gauge cable to come in the 29th to finish. I already ran the sensors, and have the gauges/pod mounted. If I could've found what I needed on the fuse panel by the light switch, they'd be up and going.

  Good question. Most to all of what I hear in internet land is to have 212 trans temp to boil off the water. That`s where my earlier comment was coming from.

  I popped mine out several weeks ago and cleaned it with CRC MAF Sensor cleaner. 53k miles and probably had never been cleaned.
