Side view mirrors replacement

Hey guys, so the motor of my side view mirror on the drivers door of 08' Silverado went out. So now I can't fold the mirror in and out with the touch of a button. Was hoping to replace the motor myself and save money. I been trying to find info or tutorials it online and on youtube but so far no luck. Has anyone had to replace them yet or have a dealer replace them? If so what did it cost? I've been trying to find the part online but so far no luck either, so if you know where I could or them any info would help. And if you guys have had to fix it and found it such a pain that it's worth just paying the dealer to do it, let me know! thanks guys.

I would try Gmpartsdirect.com. I have actually takin a mirror off with my garage before being lazy and not pulling them in and I got the whole setup cheaper at my dealer than online. Shouldn't be hard two or three bolts behind the plastic and the connectors are probally behind the door panel.

Do you have extended warranty? get mirror and replace easier? i have not heard of anyone replacing just the motor. interesting.

Unfortuntately No extended warranty. I wonder how much the whole unit mirror would cost. Seems alot pricier.

Whole unit from the dealer or mine was like 130
