I recently bought some 18x9 monster wheels with the -12 offsetting. I have a procomp strut spacer leveling kit on my truck and 285/65/18 bfgoodrich tires. When I turn full lock both ways it hits on the back bottom of the fender well. I have trimmed the plastic but it still hits. Would a rough country leveling kit fix this in addition to my procomp strut spacer leveling kit? Need help. It annoys the crap out of me to turn all the way and hear it scrub!

Well, you really have two cheap options. Option A: Trim more. There is no way you trimmed enough if you are still hitting at full lock. You should be able to see where its rubbing (it will be clean black as opposed to everything else dirty around it). Option B: Cut a small hole in the wheel well liner and zip tie it to something farther back. Either or both of those combined will stop your rubbing. 285s with a 2" lift/level will rub at full lock out or come darn close. In your case, either of these options or both combined will stop your rubbing.

Oh and, your truck looks really good. Thought you should know. :smoker:

Edit: Photos of the rub would be more helpful.

I don't want to hack on my truck. But I have gotten all the plastic out of the way where it's rubbing to see now that it is rubbing the actual metal on the inside back part of the fender well. Looks like I'm gonna have to trim that metal off. I saw online where someone had cut it of and used a sheet metal screw to hold the plastic back from the tire.

Thanks for the compliment cliobogger.

I'm trying! I still feel that with the pro comp leveling kit it still doesn't sit level. That's why I am wanting to go with the rough country cause I have heard it gets the job done without anyone ever questioning if its leveled or not.

I would not add the RC kit to the pro comp kit that you already have. I would however say it may be in your best interest to try removing the Pro Comp level and put the RC kit on. IMHO your truck doesnt look like it was hardly leveled...(1" level?)? My truck had that amount of rake to it before my level. Just my $.02

Off road that has been my concern ever since I put the pro comp kit on. It never looked leveled to me. I think putting the RC kit on and removing the procomp is gonna be the way to go. I will update everyone once I have done the removal and install this weekend.

Thanks for the input

Well it's been so long since I put it on I don't remember what the box said. But it's supposed to be a leveling kit. From the looks of it though it never really leveled the truck. I'm guessing its an inch and a half leveling kit.

Finally put the rough country lift on and man was it easier than the strut spacers. But I still think that my truck has a slight rake. And it drives me crazy. But the RC leveling kit did help with the run. All I have to do now is just find a way to hold the plastic back on the wheel well as that seems to be the only thing that rubs from time to time.
