A/C trouble

A/C was working ok last week, it would blow cold on all the fan settings except position 1. then the other day it started to cut out on position 2 and then went out all together and does not blow at all. There is still cold air that comes out when recirc is off so I think the compressor is fine. Blower motor?

What's the year of the truck. Know issue for the gmt-800's is the blower motor resistor melting at the contacts and sometimes causing a fire. Gm issued a recall about it and I believe will still replace and/or comp you for what you paid to replace it with according receipts.

its a 2004. Found a blown fuse and the resistor contacts had melted replaced both and it all works great now.

My 03 has an issue where the truck will only blow out hot air until the truck is moving then the cold air will work it's way in, no matter how long it sits there running. It was on recirc. Also no air blows out at all on position 1.

The motor not working on position 1 is definitely the blower motor resistor, replace and it should work. Mine also doenst blow cold when the truck is stopped, works at stop lights but sit for more than 5 minutes and it starts coming out warm. Dont know why.
