Id offer 8 grand. 200k Kms. It's gonna need ball joints/tie rods soon. But looks like you are on with price. If I was selling I'd ask 9500, take 8. Ur price is spot on IMO

Truck is worth what someone will pay you. I personally do not think it's worth what you are asking but I could be wrong. I would realistically offer you about 8k if that. My 06 is supposedly worth over 12k but I wouldn't ask for that much.

price is a little to high... very limited market to find someone who will pay close to 10,000 for a truck with 160k miles on it.

 

i have a 2001 silverado ext cab short bed 4x4 im trying to sell with 135k miles, asking around 6 for it

168000 miles is like 273000 kms... up here, 5 grand maybe if its clean... but as low as 2500 or less needing work. Since you US guys overpay on used stuff maybe 7500. Ask 9 maybe. You can't go up, just down.

Sorry.... no its not..... not in Alberta anyway. My 03 is legitimately cleaner than most peoples 2011s and with 164000 kms ( 102000 miles) on it I paid 7 grand.... Came with new shocks, new front end, new transmission and brand new tires. No body damage, zero rust on the body and next to no rock chips in original paint. Loaded truck beyond leather... so yes bose, buckets, digital climate, steering wheel controls and extended dic, and dl3 mirrors... and a 6 liter crew cab obviously. In fact all my listed trucks were cheap. And no I don't go to auctions.

 

However south of the border is a different world so yes it is worth more there.

 

That said with the body damage the ops truck has... maybe the 7000 mark.

That's a nice truck! Post it for $8k and take no less than $7k, there's newer trucks with 168k miles.

I sold my 2002 RCSB with a 6 litre/NV, semi floater in the back for 9 grand in Edmonton in 2009...170k on the truck

 

And then sold the original 4.8 for another 500 bucks a month later. I tend to think you can sell vehicles in Alberta for much more because people have money. When I was in Calgary few months ago I had a fella offer me 36k for my wheels or straight up trade for his 68 Camaro. Out east everybody tries to Jew you down.

My 06 1500hd loaded truck, I got 12 grand on a trade in for the wifes car in fort Mac. Had 160k on it, levelled, 33's, big stereo, air bags. Had one small dent in tail gate, few rock chips too...

You can ask whatever you want here.... used stuff is worthless based upon the fact people have money... because they will justgo buy new. I buy and sell a lot, I have a pretty good take on the used truck market here. Alberta has some of the cheapest used trucks around.

 

Unless you talk diesels because every Tom Dick and Harry wants one and is willing to pay retard price for some miled out heap.

Thanks guys, selling cars sucks. Its a pain. It does have the body damage, my wife hit a pole getting a coffee in a drive through. There is some surface rust on the rockers and the door seams are rusting. I wish I would have been more knowledgeable and maintained the paint better. Sucks that the doors are rusting from the inside out.

My good friend has a Tundra, same year, same miles, zero rust, no major repairs. O2 sensor, brakes, oil and shocks. I've fixed so much on mine...

I've been trying to sell my truck for about 3 or 4 weeks now and I've had almost no bites. Am I priced to high? I'd love to hear some constructive opinions.

Tough time to sell with deals on 2013's. People want new even if they got to finance for 5 years. I would drop the price to $8500 and see what happens. Small change in price but it is now below the 9K figure.

I would take $8500 for it but I cant go much lower than that. I never want to finance anything ever again! I hate payments.

      This is a 1/2 ton thing ONLY.  All HDs 2020-2026 have the two speed transfer case, with Autotrac as an option.     1/2 tons 2019-2026, regular 4x4s come with a single speed case (no 4LO!), and trucks with Z71 ordered, or all Trail Boss trucks come with the 2 speed case.  2 speed case is also an option on WT, and is also standard on High Country.

      2013 5.3 still to this day calls for the PF48 filter.  Which as a 15psi bypass pressure.     There is a TSB, 17-NA-157 that talks about the PF-63 and PF-64 filters which have a higher bypass rating of 22psi.    TSB HERE - temp.xml   "Beginning in 2012, the oil pumps began to regulate main gallery feedback instead of pump out pressure. This means that the oil pump now does not begin to regulate until pressure is built up to the main gallery. This change reduces the amount of time it takes to provide oil to the engine bearing and lifters during extreme cold start conditions.  Main gallery feedback oil pump control systems are present on the following engine families which use Spin-on oil filters: Small Gas Engine (SGE), Large Gas Engine (LGE), High Feature (HFV6) Gen2 and Small Block Gen5 gasoline engines. These engines with the main gallery feedback oil pump control systems are factory built with an ACDelco® oil filters"   It also calls out what engines use those filters.  The gen 4 small blocks were not on that list (LMG, LC9, L9H, L92, L94, L20, L96).  Gen 5 small blocks use the higher pressure filter.          That all said...   Your 7045 Napa filter is the PF63 equivalent, with 22psi bypass.  You are already using the higher bypass pressure filter.  You CAN keep using it, you don't technically have to use it though.

      Do you know WHY the filter relief setting was increased to 22 psig?    When the new system goes into the second stage the pump volume ramps up considerably. It was found that the 15 psi filter bypass setting put the filter in bypass on a warm engine when the second stage was activated. Raising the filter bypass setting forced the filter to do what it designed to do. Filter. Preventing debris from circulating during high load, high rpm operation.    So next question is how did GM find this out? VLOM/lifter failures and a deep dive by Melling Corp.    Last question. Is it required? Look at it like this; a motor may be equipped with a rev limiter. But it only works if the set point in reached. That 22 psig setting only matters if the pressure differential across the filter media exceeds 15 psig during normal warm operation. Second stage kicks in around 3000-3500 rpm.    I can't answer your question because I don't know you and how you use the truck. But I think there is enough information here to let you decide for yourself. 😉

      Probably not their first rodeo, so it should go as planned most likely.  Typically the service manager or tech doing the swap will put some seat time to shake it down after they get it all put back together.  We usually put 50-100mi before we hand them back so if something happens, its not after you get it.  A coolant leaks, oil leaks, a ground left off or loose, vibration, etc.     The new engines so far have been good?  There's been a couple that have popped out there again (the replacement engine) but most have been okay.
