Climate control with remote start?

[2016 Sierra Owner]

On my 09 when I remote started it the climate controls would turn the a/c on full blast till the key was turned. I always turn the climate system off when shutting the truck off. So it worked weather the system was in the on or off position. The 2014 does not seem to do this. I have started it a few times now and when I get in the system does nothing till I turn the key and press the fan or auto button. Kinda pointless to remote start it when this does not work. The owners manual says the system may come on during a remote start. Do you have to leave the system in the on position to get it to work now? I would like to hear how it's working for you guys and if you leave the climate system on or off when shutting off your truck. Thanks

You have to leave it on auto. I like to leave mine in manual because auto always blows to hard or not hard enough. I don't know why they didn't keep it the way the way the 900s are. If its on full blast manual mode when u get out of the truck it will be the same when u remote start it.
