Hey everyone, just joined the forum and the GM family. Always had Ford 150 but needed a heavy duty and really didn't care for the F-250 styling, so I purchased a 2013 Silverado 2500 HD 6.0. and I'm really liking it. Basic LT with Z71 suspension package, remote start, reverse sensors, sliding read window, polished 18" wheels, 6" chrome step Some initial observations.

1. Why doesn't all vehicle come with DIC? Mine didn't so I ordered one. Already found the necessary wiring on back of the panel.

2. Why no bed rail covers? Don't like the look of the spray-in over the rail berliners so I purchased the factory plastic rails

3. Why no keyed power outlets? I have three which is nice but it would be nice not to have to unplug my USB power source each time.

Other than that I'm really liking the ride and comfort level, even with the cloth seats. Some future mods:

1. Chrome door replacement handles. Just received them today, yet to install.

2. Grill insert

3. Removing chrome upper bumper pad and replace with painted one

4. Looking at adding factory fog lights. Not sure if wired already but I know I would need a new bumper, fog lights, switch, and mounting hardware. May just do a LED in the bumper.

5. Rims/Tires/Navigation/Back-up camera

Anyway look forward to leaning more about my truck.
