Component Speakers?

My silverado came with the factory stereo (non Bose). Im tired of the wimpy speakers i currently have and im looking to upgrade. I dont want to go all out and get subs. Im looking at different component speakers and have my eyes on the Polk Audio DB6501. Has anyone else upgraded their speakers? And are the door speakers 6.5 in.?

Custom Car Stereo in Houston has done one custom install on a 2014 including fabbing a sub enclosure for the rear. Might ask them what they recommend for speakers
