ABS issue

Specifics: 2002 Silverado Z71, 101,000 miles (I don't put on that many miles, I usually ride motorcycle), four wheel disk brakes.

I know that ABS activating on dry pavement is a common problem usually signifying a bad sensor. This summer I had a wheel bearing go bad, had it changed and a new sensor on that wheel was done as well. I have no problems with the work. A couple of weeks later the ABS activated when coming to a stop on dry pavement. Took it in and we were able to capture it on the diagnostic computer and it said it was the brake switch, so we changed it. A few days later it started activating on dry pavement again. So far we haven't been able to capture it when I take it in. I know it could be the other front wheel sensor, a defective new sensor on the side the bearing was replaced on, or it could be a defective brake switch. Today, it activated while I was backing into my driveway (and I swear it significantly increased my stopping distance).

Two questions:

1) Does ABS work in reverse. (I've seen both answers to this question and arguments for both)

2) Am I missing any possible causes other than the ones I listed above?
