weatherguard truck box in short bed?

hey guys, i a, trying to decide on a bak flip tonneau cover or a weatherguard truck box for my short bed crew cab. I used to have a bak flip and loved the look and functionality, but hate the lack of storage for tooks. The bak truck box doesnt really seem substantial by any means. Therefore i was looking at getting a weatherguard tool box, likely the compact version to allow for good tool storage.

 

Long story short, does anone have a weatherguard compact box or any other in a short bed? I am afraid i wil have a non functioning bed after addung the box. Looking for some opinions.... Thanks

I have a short bed with line x and a low profile black weather guard box on the way for my tools. Anything higher than their low profile obstructs the view on our windows pretty significantly because of how low the glass goes to the front rail.

Hey guys, sorry for the late response. When I was pricing them out online, I found black weatherguard low profile boxes for ~$700 but Ive been hunting on craigslist and found one for around $400 in mint condition. Only catch is its two states above me (3 hour drive) but my buddy owns a bunch of land up there so I might be heading up soon. Hopefully I will have it right around Thanksgiving. If you go to the 2014 truck topic of people posting their new trucks, theres a nice all terrian in grey with the exact box we are all talking about. I will find the picture as an example.
