Hey everybody - just wanted to say hello!  Somebody directed me over here from Edmunds Town Hall.  There is some great info here.  I just sold my 01 Silverado 1500 LS extended cab 2WD today - our new baby's car seat doesn't fit very well in the back seat.  We have a '03 1500HD LT crewcab on order with quadrasteer - it should be here in 3 weeks or so and I can hardly wait!!!

Quadrasteer is awesome btw - I test drove one at my local dealer prior to ordering.  If you can swallow the $5k upgrade, it sells itself.  I haven't heard anything negative about it - anyone out there experience any problems?

Hi there,

I just picked up my Quadrasteer last Friday, it's an LS1500 4X4. Just 450 miles so far and I am very impressed. Even though the rear wheels only turn 12 degrees , which does not sound or look like much, it makes a huge difference from behind the wheel. I was in a 98 DeVille before this, and the Silverado, which has a 30 inch longer wheelbase than the Caddy, turns quite a bit tighter. It's just dramatically easier to park and manouver around tight spaces than other similar sized trucks I have owned (98 K1500 xtnd cab, 00 F250SD xtnd cab, 89 Ram). It also feels great on the highway, very stable during lane changes. Nice solid truck overall. There is also an extra $2K rebate if you get the Quadrasteer, so it's really only a $2.5K option now, well worth it in my opinion.

Welcome.........

My bigest question for the quadrasteer is how does it react in icey conditions?  Normaly you turn into the skid, well now you got your ass end in a donught......  Not that I don't love to do cookies but out on the interstate not such a good Idea :uhoh:

Any thoughts?
