HVAC Dual Zone Climate Control Issues

Hello all!

 

I'm having issues with my wife's 2003 Yukon XL. She has the automatic dual zone climate control and no matter which direction we turn the dials to adjust the temp, the temp always stays the same or goes down. For instance, when it's freezing cold outside (like now) and we want to crank the temp up to 80 degrees, the display always either stays the same or goes down to 65.

 

I've pulled the HVAC fuse for a few seconds and it reset the temp to something decent...but obviously the wife wants the thing fixed...

 

Any ideas?

scan the hvac module for codes to start

I have a simple ODB II scanner. Is there a way to scan the module for codes without a Tech II or whatever the dealers are using?

any garage can scan it ,doesnt have to be a dealer
