Tool Box Lighting

Hey guys i just recently purchased a new tool box and Im now running into the same problem that most everyone who buys a tool box runs into at some point, I can't see at night and I'm tired of carrying a flashlight every time i need to get something out. So the question is, has anyone experienced with installing LED's in your toolbox? I thought of getting multiple LED strips to stick to the toolbox and using some kind of switch to turn the lights on and off and just connect it to the battery. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any recommendations? Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks.

For a tool box I would recommend a self contained system using its own battery power like AA's or a 9v
