Leveling kit question

I had a 1.5" leveling kit put on my 2012 GMC Sierra 4x4 back when I had it. The leveling kit was nothing more than an aluminum spacer that went on the front lower shock mount and moved the shock up 3/4". I bought the kit on Ebay and it was a solid, well machined piece of aluminum that included the longer shock mount bolts and worked great. My question is will this same type of spacer work on the new 2014 trucks? I know that Rough Country makes a 2" leveling kit and I have seen the photos on their website but I want to retain just a little bit of the factory rake so that when I tow my boat and my equipment trailer that the rear end won't be much lower than the front. The seller on Ebay only shows that this kit fits GM trucks up through 2012 but I am thinking that maybe they just haven't updated their application chart. Has GM changed anything about the setup on the front lower shock mount?

I plan to have the leveling kit and new P275/60r20 Toyo Open Country AT2 tires put on as soon as I get the truck.

Thanks,

if you don't tow often, and want the level look most of the time, but don't want want to roll cali when towing invest in a load leveling hitch, or bag the rear.

No, GM did not change the front suspension on the regular Sierra (All-Terrain models have aluminum upper control arms but not sure if any of the actual angles are different as a result..?).

Yes, a 2012 kit will work on a 2014.

As for how much the level will raise the front... the general rule is lift is twice the height of spacer. So if the front block/plate is 1" thick, it'll raise your truck about 2"

Most of the leveling kit discussions have been moved to the Suspension section of forum. Search there and you'll find much more leveling kit info, as well as problems encountered, etc...
