Lower shift points?

I got a hypertech for my 5.3 4l60e. Im looking for best performance off the line. Should i lower 1st gear shift point to 4500 so i have more torque to get it up to speed?

That would certainly slow you down because it'd make second gear work well below peak power of the engine. Raise it. My truck with the Blackbear tune shifts right near or at 6000 RPM.

Thanks for the reply. So would you recommend me setting it to 6000 or 6100?

I honestly don't know exactly where mine shifts but 6000 might me a good start.

Yeah to do what you are describing you want to raise the sp not lower it
