Bed Rail Caps

Unfortunately for now I have a drop in liner and bed rail caps in the bed of my truck. My problem is the caps, they're held on by adhesive strips that they came with. I have a toolbox sitting on the front so they hold down fine. My issue is the rear side of the caps, they do not stay stuck down like they should. I am going to take them off and clean it up and try and get them stuck on again, anybody have any ideas or experiences with a better way to keep them stuck on until I break down and get a spray on bedliner?? Had the same problem with mine and I found this stuff http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/cntct_osns/overview/Loctite-Stik'n-Seal-Outdoor-Adhesive.htm The paint under my covers wasn't the greatest so I really wasnt concerned with using an adhesive. Stuff has worked great for me, just squirt some under the rail cover and I always put a bag of water softener salt on top of it for the night to set up.

Thanks dirtfan I will check that out this weekend. Did you get the adhesive or the super glue? The link pulled up both. I've got some gorilla brand adhesive that I use for my arrows, I bet it might work well if the loctite works. I've never thought about the water softener gels, will check into that too. Thanks again.

I used the the adhesive because it has some flexibility to it, I would bet gorilla glue would work just fine. I just use the water softener bags as weight to hold the bed rail cover down over night to set up. You could use anything as a weight, I was just saying that is what I use.

I understand what you meant for weight, I have some in the garage so that's be perfect. The gorilla adhesive might be great. It's weather and shockproof so I will give it a shot. I see you got STT on your truck. How do you like them? I ordered some and they just showed up today, gonna get them put on tomorrow hopefully. How's the tread lasting and wearing?
