Can the park assist covers be painted?

Anyone know if you can paint the covers for the front and rear park assist sensors on the bumper? Wasn't sure if paint would interfere with the ultrasound. Mine is an LTZ and I'm color matching the bumpers and want the sensor covers to match like they do on the High Country's. I've ordered my truck but haven't received it yet so don't have one to look at, but does it even have a cover or is that the actual sensor you see?

I think that they can be painted, only if someone has done it before. I believe the paint has to be under a certain thickness to not cause any problems. You could possibly order OEM painted ones from the dealer? I believe the center part is the ACTUAL sensor.

Ya I checked at a dealership and they didnt have any in stock to look at, but the guy thought there wasnt a cover to the sensor or that it was part of it. And we looked at a regular ltz and High country and the catalog showed the same sensor part numbers for both trims. So either its ok to paint the sensor/cover or the guy I talked to just couldn't find the sensor covers listed individually in the catalog.
