Relearn after camshaft sensor replacement.

Since I have my intake off my 05 Sierra 5.3, I was thinking about replacing my camshaft position sensor. If I replace it, do I have to do a relearn? I've read that the relearn is only necessary after a crank position sensor replacement. Is it even worth replacing the camshaft sensor? Is it something that is prone to failure above 200k miles?

The only ones I have heard going bad were on the 8.1 big blocks.
