Heated Seat Problem

I've got a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with leather seats. The drivers side heated seat is giving me problems. Here is what is going on. Without touching the on/off button, the indicator light on the on/off switch cycles from "high, medium, low, off" continuously, non stop. The rate it cycles changes, sometimes fast, sometimes its slower. I can manually turn the heated seat off, but it turns itself back on and continues it's cycling. When looking at the switch, you can turn on the "butt and back" elements, or just the "back" element. When it's doing it's cycling, it's cycling the "back" only.

Any thoughts? I first replaced the door panel switch, which did nothing.

Well, as best as I can tell, from searching ALL day on the internet, is it's most likely the bottom seat heat element. I ordered the element, and I will reply here in a few days to let people know how I fare. There are a lot of questions out on the internet, and very few answers. I hope this helps me and I can help someone else!

Didn't work. Unhooking the elements and forgetting about it. So frustrating. There's about 6 different things it can be.

I have that issue as well. Check for water in your door. Mine leaks and water gets into the controls. Best of luck on solving this one
