pilsner Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Im looking to upgrade my suspension on my 2009 sierra half ton. I run a lot of rough FSR roads going biking and for fun, and want it to handle and feel better.I currently have a levelling kit with 33s. I don't want to lift it too much if possible. Im not sure a lift kit would make it ride any better anyway.
TooTall1 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Bilstein 5100 shocks will make a serious improvement.
kstruckcountry Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 If you're driving on really rough roads a lot you can air down the tires, then air them back up when you hit the pavement. Lots of people do this. I have ridden in lifted trucks that rode great and some not so much. I think it's more dependent on good shocks than anything.
pilsner Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 I was looking into total chaos upper control arms and fox coil overs up front. I think this would be sweet
kstruckcountry Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Yeah that should improve your angles and maybe even help the ride
pilsner Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 Basically Im looking at the fox 2.5 factory coil over reservoir along with the UCA now.Would they help my ride that much? Would it be beneficial to do this over just simply putting bilsteins in? What would be the best solution for the rear?
Chris Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Take a look at Cognito Motorsports. Help my local economy. Also they actually have decent parts for you
LaserBlueZ71 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I think it also depends on your budget. If your looking at keeping the truck long term, I would opt for the 4 inch BDS lift myself.
