Got rear ended today

I have had my silverado for a month today. And guess what I got hit! It wasn't all that bad,the bumper got pushed up against the body enough to scuff up the paint. I hate to have the hole side of the bed painted just to fix a skuff about 1 inch by 1/2 an inch.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

I can't really advise you on the repairs but I can definitely sympathize with your cause.

My wifes' Tahoe has been in the body shop for two weeks now due to a rear end collision and, although not as new as your truck,Iknow the frustration you feel.

It's kind of like the 2001 Silverado work truck I have that was side swiped with a grand total of 78 miles on it.The truck suffered around ?-? worth of damage and it was basically brand new.

I'll see if I can dredge up a few pictures of it and post them.

i'd get it fixed, thats after i took the lug wrench from my spare case and made sure that person couldn't walk anymore heh heh ehh

Whoa dude!

I sense a little too much aggression.

Maybe it's time to adjust the prozac doseage.

Wow they say things come in threes. Becareful where you walk. Sorry to here about the bad streak. I know how you feel, my 98 got rearended on the freeway by a guy doing 65 while I was stopped in traffic. That is why I have a 99. Worked out better because I like the 99 better then the 98. Seems like a good paint shop should be able to fix that spot and blend the paint to a perfect match. With the computer paint matching systems they have today. Best of Luck.

Thats weird, because pretty much thats the same reason I have a '99.  The guy that hit me was under the influence and going approximately 10-15 MPH slower.  My other truck was a '91.

The guy that hit me was in a Hundi or how ever you spell the little pos. His engine got fetched up on the hitch and bent the rear tail sections down on a 45 degree angle. Took a tow truck to get the car out from under my truck.

I've told this on another board but I will tell it to you guys.  In September of 2000, a 2001 F250 4X4 CC was pulling out of a gas station after filling up for the first time, when a 2001 F350 rounded a corner and they ran together total mileage on both trucks totaled 10 miles!!!  The F250 had 6 miles on it guy had just picked it up and was going to get tags, the F350 the dealers son was out test driving it had 3 miles on it.  Both trucks had over ?,000 damage each I wish that I had a camera for some pictures.
