Level vs Lift

Hey guys - I'd like to add a little height and some larger tires to my truck but not sure which set up to go with. I was hoping to get some input/feedback from you all. I'm looking for a happy medium between stock and a 6" Lift

Truck:

2014 GMC Sierra All Terrain

2" RC Level and 1.5"Zone Body Lift

-or-

4" Suspension Lift

Tire selection thoughts:

285/60r20 Duratrac

-or-

295/60r20 Terra Grappler

There are 2 threads that are all about leveling kits and lift kits. Check those out. You can see a lot of different setups. I have a 2" RC level with 275/60R20 Falken Wild Peaks. I didn't want to mess with the suspension too much. I think the leveling kits give a nice stance to the K2's

I have the RC 2.5 Lift with 285/60/20 Duratracs and have also been looking at the zone 1.5 BL. Let us know what you decide on.

None that I have noticed. I love it. Best investment I have made.

Stussy,

Any feedback on ride quality with those tires compared to stock? road noise inside the cab? how is fuel mileage compared to stock? Your truck is exactly what I am looking to do I just don't want to sacrifice too much of the stock ride comfort, quietness and fuel mileage. I love the ride of my stock high country but it needs a little more truck look to it. Also have you had any issues with the rough country 2.5?

I Still do not rub. The ride is stiffer than stock but any level or lift is going to be stiffer than stock. The trucks are so quiet the only time I notice any road noise is if my windows are down. My fuel mileage probably dropped anywhere between 3-4 miles A galloon. I average about 15-16 miles to galloon with mixed city and highway driving. Have not had any issues at all with the lift.

I've always been a fan of the leveling kit / body lift combo, but I would go with a 3" body. I ran that set up for a while and sometimes miss it. You get a nice height without greatly tweaking the suspension and maintaining a near factory ride.
