Be honest.  Is your truck a workaholic, dirty beast or a garage queen wannabe?  Looks and rugged don't count, its either one or the other boys.  Me, well I got sick of buffing out scratches after the 4th time I took out my truck, so its glued to the road now.  :D

You guys know me, looking good is NOT and option, its a MUST!  :D

I CAN'T DECIDE!!!

i need both...im not big on chrome or wheels, but i want a good looking truck, but i want power, a ten second 0-60 ain't gonna cut it!

i'd say a mix of both is good. like a clean straight body decent paint, and some decent performance is how i'd go, i'd probably stress that it looks good before it starts flying. but as long as it runs smooth and strong then no reason for it to look bad.

Looks, who cares about those?  Most of the time you can't tell what color it is with all the mud and crap on it.  All I care is that it'll pull a trailer or haul me through a fair amount of mud.

you farm and get stuff muddy so looks not so important, but i rarely get my trucks muddy so looks is important, but i like power too

My original intent in purchasing this truck was to find a plain jane that I could outfit to look good while towing like it was designed to.  I wouldn't do any serious off roading in a 1 ton truck, that's what jeeps and ATV's are for.  I wanted a lead vehicle that looked sharp towing my toys to the trailhead, that doubled as a head turning daily driver.  Guess it depends what you need the truck for.  Some trucks are bought for working, some for recreation, some as a rebuild/restore project, some for show -

First and foremost my truck has to do its job.  No matter how good it looks, if it can't do the job I don't want it.  Now I would have no problem with making a new truck look good, but only after I had all the work stuff done to it first.

Form follows function.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Do it in the dirt.

Let the sun shine in.

I can see clearly now.

Follow the white rabbit.

There is no spoon.

Looks are important, but I am a function over form kind of guy...it's gotta run great and ride and handle as well as possible for an old truck.
