5.3L Stock Exhaust Pipe Size

Does anyone know what the Outside Diameter of the Stock exhaust on a 2014 Crew Cab 5.3L GMC Sierra? I want to make sure I'm ordering the correct size exhaust tip to connect at the end of the pipe. Thanks!

I know the 6.2L is 3.5". I think the 5.3L is similar or slightly smaller. Why dont you go measure yours....

My truck is at home in Iowa, while I'm out of state in Mississippi for a while. Otherwise I would. Does anyone know what their stock exhaust measures?

Is it close to the 1st bend of the tailpipe? I noticed my tip wasn't as snug the closer I moved it in towards that 1st bend. My MBRP tip was only 10" long and almost didn't work as a bolt on. Any longer and It would have required welding as the pipe narrows down a tad in that bend.

I have the new model Silverado 1500 RST with the 5.3 engine. My pipes are 3” diameter. You can measure yours by determining the distance around(circumference) and dividing by 3.14 to determine the diameter.
