Meaningless. Who cares where the safety people fall on the organizational chart?

To me it shows how seriously a company may take safety as well as testing and compliance. And that is important. That being said, I feel confident now that GM is getting their ducks in a row and truly hope they are able to survive this and come out a more humble and effecient company, centered on the customers safety and satisfaction.
