Aftermarket seat heaters?

Hey everyone, this is my first post here but I've been lurking for the last several months. Finally pulled the trigger on a white '14 Silverado LT 4wd crew cab short bed over the weekend! I traded in my 2010 extended cab 2wd with z-71 appearance pkg (I'll post more about my deal in the "Price Paid" thread later on).

Anyway, in order to get my deal done, I went ahead and gave up some things I wanted, knowing that I can take care of them later on. One thing I wanted was the heated seats. Obviously, I can get my own heaters and wire them up w/ a custom switch. However, I'd like to see if I can keep it factory looking by modifying my dash and installing factory switches to control the heaters.

My truck has the 2 buttons on the center lower part of the dash, for traction control and bed lights. I believe trucks with the heated seat option use the outer left/right spots for the switches...so mine just has like blanks in there. Any idea what it would take, or if its possible, to replace these with factory switches? Sorry for the small pic, had to grab one online because mine is at the Line-x shop today.

I've searched and come up with nothing helpful. So, please forgive me if I've missed an obvious answer. And thanks for the help to come and tons of help I've already received!

And also the heated seat button are not located there. Theyd be where the red arrows start on that picture (in the silver area)

Ah, got it. I had seen other dashes with the buttons there, but couldn't tell what they were for. I guess I'll keep thinking about the best way to do this and maybe I can come up with something semi factory-looking. Or just make it easy on myself and hide them all together. Thanks for clarifying!

Actually if you pull off the bezel from the dash, there are wires that would plug into the switches for the heated seats. The wires attach to blanks on the inside of the bezel. Not sure what else is needed under the seats, and neither does the dealer when I asked. I am just waiting for the after market, like my 08 had. All the part numbers are available, heater pads, switches, and new bezel. Just not sure if its play and play.

Yeah I'm not sure where the other end of the wires are, or if there's an empty plug under the seat that would just need to receive the end off the heater pads. I'm curious about the bezel and switches, because that would be awesome. This was a $250 option from the factory...so I'm wondering how close to that it would end up costing using OEM parts and installing myself. I'll keep doing some research and report back when I get some #s.

Here are the part numbers I found. Still not sure if wiring harness goes under the seat from the dash. Dealer says if install, it needs to be programmed.

If you go the after market route. You could use the switches in the post below to wire them up. Then it would look semi factory.

Nice! Thanks, guys! I'm not able to find a pic online w/ those part numbers, and the switches alone cost ~$60 each?! Maybe when the 15's come out, more stuff becomes available/visible for purchase. I'll definitely keep an eye on it. This might become a Fall project if I can pick up all the stuff ahead of time.
