seat belt alarm and auto door locks

My 03 is a dinosaur with all this new technology. And my truck is on order so I don't get to play around with the bells and whistles.

So what to expect?

Does the seat belt alarm go off automatically after a few seconds like my old truck or will it keep bothering you until you buckle up. Before y'all jump me, I always wear it on the road but I ride a lot in fields and I get in and out a lot without turning truck off and that alarm will drive me nuts if it stays on.

Also I noticed in my wife's acadia that the auto door locks can be set for different settings but not off. A passenger getting out to open a gate or something I would have to unlock the door at every stop if I was in the acadia. I hope my new truck isn't like that!

You can pull the handle 2 times and the door will open without unlocking them all. This may work in the Acadia as well. My wife has an equinox and I have not tried it in her car yet.

Yes, unfortunately to both questions. The seat belt alarm is very annoying. In my Silverado, it sounds, then stops and a little while later sounds again. And it sounds much quicker than my '11 did - in fact, often before you get a chance to buckle up!

Yes, the doors are like the Acadia. But, as Blue Sierra points out, you can unlock the doors with two pulls on the handle.
