wahoo, I might have strep

Dang, my throat has been sore for the past few days and when I woke up today I could hardly crawl out of bed. My throat and tonsils are all swollen, every muscle in my body aches, and I've got a fever of about 101-102.

And, to top it all off I've still gotta go into work today

Being sick really sucks, after work I'm going to try and get into the doctor and then off to bed I shall go.

Just getting over it myself Jon. I had a sinus infection, ear infection and something with my throat, not sure what she said. I'm on my last two doses of amoxicilin :thumb:

Well I got into the doctor at three and hopefully he can get me an antibiotic or something to knock this out of me.

Well, the test came back negative, so the doc said it was viral which means I get the fun of being sick all weekend. Thank god for advil so I can feel alright for a few hours.

Having my tonsils removed was the best thing I ever had done. Haven't had step since and got to eat ice cream whenever I wanted after surgery.

I've got strep. i woke up with it on Wednesday. I don't think my throat has ever hurt this bad. I can not swallow anything. Even water is tough.

What really sucks is that I'm STARVING but unable to eat anything. I hope this Biaxin kicks in soon!!!

Had the runny nose/sinus infection going the last week and a half, fortunately it's gone now.

I was last sick last Janurary through march, has Mono and Flu B at the same time.....missed 6 straight weeks of school, 8 straight weeks of work.......doctors orders though

Well, I think last night was the worst of it. I was freezing and couldn't sweep, kept waking up sweating. Oh, it was fun. Looks like the rest of the weekend will be spent in bed. I've been eating ice cream and popsicles since they are the easiet "food" to keep down not to mention the cold feels great on my swollen tonsils.

I'm going through it now. I woke up Thurs. morning and my tonsils were so swolen that it felt like I had something caught in my throat. It is still soar a little bit now, but my tonsils are not swollen at all. And I am achy all over and just feel like laying in bed all day. This sucks...gotta waste my 4-day weekend for Mardi Gras being sick.

Good news for me. I woke up this morning and the sore throat was gone!!!!! Still having trouble swallowing some things but for the most part... I'm on my way to recovery.

There's hope for those of you who got sick after me. It seems to last about 72-84 hours and then you start to improve.

I hope you all feel better soon.

Well that's good news since this all started getting really bad on wednesday-thursday so I better be getting better soon. It's been a really sh*tty weekend when you can't do anything, especially when you were supposed to go out of town w/ a bunch of people from school.

Hmmm, I could go for another popsicle or two

Well the masive headaches have almost gone away completely along w/ the fever. Now it's just down to swollen tonsils and a sore throat. Compared to how I felt friday night I'm feeling a million times better.

The thing that sucks the most is that the whole weekend was spent home alone laying on the couch because I felt like sh*t and couldn't do anything. That really sucked.
