Wheels came in yesterday! Mounted them right up, and I have to say that I'm very impressed with the quality of these tires in regards to balancing. Each wheel balanced out with two ounces of weight or less. In fact, two of the wheels required only 1/2 ounce each! The Fuel wheels I'm running have to be credited for the ease of balancing as well. Many aftermarket wheels are not true and require additional weight. Not these! Typically tires this size can take between 3/4 and 1 pound of weight to balance properly. I ran it up to 80 mph on the way home and have no vibration or shake at all. Hope that continues to be the case as they wear. The road noise created is slightly more than I had hoped for, but is acceptable. A little hum over 50 mph, but surprisingly quiet for how aggressive these tires look. I've only traveled 50 miles so far, on paved roads. Looking forward to testing them in an off road situation. I'll update my review as miles accrue and as I have the opportunity to test them in different conditions. Thrilled thus far!

What kind of tire pressure is everyone running with these? Called Toyo tech dept. and they suggested 50 psi all around. The tire shop I went to for an alignment re-check said it was way too high and suggested 38 all around.

 

I'm thinking of running about 42. Any suggestions?

I run 40 PSI cold, which will rise to 43-44 in hot weather. The truck will handle, as it was designed to, with them at 32 PSI. Slight increases do not affect that, but running 80 PSI could potentially cause the brakes and suspension to operate undesirably. Now, E rated tires are designed to be run between 65-80 PSI, which is where they handle best and dissipate heat properly. The long and short, is that these are the "wrong" tires for the vehicle. I try to split the difference so that I'm not on either end of the extreme. Overall, 40-50 PSI should be fine for the truck and for the tires.

Here it is with the flares. Would have gone with factory flares painted white, but I wanted some visual "weight" down low to offset the look of my ARE cap/topper (not on right now because it's back at ARE for warranty repair)

Any pictures down the side? What's the spec on your wheels?

I'll get you a picture down the side tomorrow. Wheels are Fuel Hostage PVD 20x9 with 5" backspacing, which equates to a 1(mm) positive offset. Stock wheels are 25-35 positive offset, so these stick out 3/4" past those. The BDS lift pushes each front hub out two inches though. I will be adding 1.5" spacers to the rear wheels very soon.

They are the 2" pocket flares. Not the Boss pocket flares

So without the BDS kit pushing the wheel out, would the flares be needed
