DEST function doesn't work

I just installed a touchscreen nav system in my 05 Yukon. Dealer cleared the vin and all was good. Insert the DVD, drive around, get it calibrated, clear out old locations in memory, everything is going great. I try entering a destination by pushing the DEST on the touchscreen and nothing. No beep, no nada. Anybody have any thoughts or possible solutions.

Did you try it when stopped or moving?

I've tried both. Parked and moving. I can get the POI stuff working but nothing with the destination feature. When I push it, it doesn't even beep. I've contemplated going back to the dealer but I figured I would try this first. I'll be out a c-note just to learn there is nothing the dealer can do.
