Possible Electrical Issue

Recommended Posts

Starting 3 days ago, when I would initially start my truck and go out on the highway, getting up to speed using roughly 3/4 throttle the vehicle would lock up, engine would rev up, and the electrical components would all restart (doors lock/unlock, temperature reset to 74, etc.) but it would start right back up without me turning the key and run like nothing happened. Now yesterday, I pulled into the garage and when I used a little more throttle to get over the concrete the same thing happened only it died and didn't start back up until I physically turned the key to start it. It started somewhat hard after this too. Does anyone have any possible idea what's going on here? Bad timing with a supercharger, injectors, and custom grind cam on the way :(

Would a code be able to pin point the location of a short?

No codes, I'm thinking it's a short as well. I'll check the battery cable clamps first though. Trying to find a short is gonna be a pain if that's it..

yes, most codes will ask to check a wire to ground and to power (shorts)
