2014 Silverado Seat Issue

I have a problem with the drivers seat which was confirmed by the service department and parts were ordered, but as of today 8/4/14 the parts have still yet to arrive. Someone needs to communicate to General Motors that while they consider it a minor inconvenience to have the lower cushion of the drivers seat shift under braking or turning, I do not. I cannot be the only customer where retaining clips were left off the seat causing the cushion to move. Every time I drive the vehicle I have the sensation that the truck is coming apart underneath me, not a very reassuring feeling and it makes me question how well the vehicle is bolted together. And because of the delay of parts I have to make another trip to have the truck serviced and spend another day without the truck. I have no concerns that the my excellent service department will straighten out the problem, but they shouldn't have to and General Motors needs to get its act together. This will be make it visit number three for a truck with just over 5000 miles on the odometer. One recall, One recall paired with a first service and seat repair and the third to bring it in whenever the parts may arrive. In the entire 6 years I owned my last Silverado it was only brought in only two to three times a year for regular service calls and the only recall it ever had was on the heated washer fluid dispenser. I do not know if it is the lack of quality control in the Mexico assembly plants or no one caring, but when you buy a loaded LTZ Z71 crew cab, you expect it to put together a little better. I knew I shouldn't have order heated and cooled seats with the drivers alert package, maybe just too much engineering had to go into the seats and the seats supplier to GM just can't do it.

Trust me, I understand your frustration. This issue has been discussed in this thread.
