Mixing wheel offsets?

I was looking at getting a BDS 6inch lift on my 2014 silverado, but i really dont like the idea of having the front wheels stick out 1.5 inches farther then the rear.

 

I also dont really like the idea of having wheel spacers on since ive personally seen them fail before and its not a pretty sight.

 

I had the idea of putting on 2 different wheels front to back. Having 18x9 rockstar 2 rims with 00 offset in the front and having 18x9 rockstar 2 rims with -24 offset in the rear. doing this i should only have about a half inch difference between the front and rear which i could live with.

 

my question is would i have any issues doing this? i know i couldnt rotate the wheels properly having different offsets but it wouldnt bother me much buying new tires 5k km's earlier. but would there be anything else im not thinking of that could be an issue?

It won't cause any issues, but one thing you may want to consider and possible didn't think about is the looks of having two different offsets. Different offset often look different because the wheel center is in a different location. So your front wheels may not look like your rear wheels (generally speaking and depends on design, but the rear would have a larger lip and face would be more recessed then the front wheels). I personally feel the same way about the tract width change from front to rear with most suspension lifts with out UCA drops and would have to have rear wheel spacers to compensate for this. Personally I wouldn't hesitate to run a quality hub centric to wheel centric from a place like Motorsports Tech, just make sure they are properly torqued. As an added sense of security, you can add blue locktite to the studs holding the spacer to the car.
