New here, from Alabama, waiting on 2014 GMC Sierra

I am currently waiting on a 2014 Sierra SLT crew cab with the 5.3 V8. I ordered on June 6th 2014. This will be the first new vehicle I have ever purchased, as well as the first GM vehicle I have ever purchased. Needless to say, I am excited about getting this truck. The truck was unloaded from the train in Birmingham Alabama last Saturday, it still hasn't reached the dealership in Thomasville AL yet though, the wait is killing me. So all you 2014 Sierra owners, how do you like your truck.

This is the first truck I ordered and I love it. Ordered it Jan 21st 2014 and I did the paperwork on it April 25th. It was well worth the wait and welcome.

Well, I had my first problem at around 450 miles this past weekend, the pinion seal failed. This is the seal where the drive shaft goes into the rear end. It happened while on the interstate, luckily my father was following me and not some stranger. The front of his car got drenched with gear oil as well as the underside of the truck, from the rear axle back was pretty much soaked. I was glad I was nearly home when it happened. Anyways it is in the shop today and I will get it back tomorrow. I was a bit aggravated that I had to drive it to the dealership to get fixed when I have a bumper to bumper warranty. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come..

Had to check my driveway to make sure that you didn't grab my truck! Lol Bad luck on the seal! 2700 miles on my mine and not 1 thing wrong except the transfer case recall. hopefully yours will be rid of any mmore gremlins. enjoy your new ride!
