4G LTE onstar upgrade...

So, i wonder if we will be able to do an upgrade for this module. Looked at chevrolet accessories wifi but im not quite sure what the differences are other than it appears the GM accessories version is 3G only

Because this is a built-in 4G LTE connection that we’re introducing into 2015 Model Year vehicles, it is engineered into the vehicle’s overall design. That hardware cannot be added to an existing vehicle. However, if you do buy a new GM vehicle, OnStar with 4G LTE will allow you to make updates over time. I hope this helps!

Just saw the LTE module on a website FOR $395 I believe... I'm wondering what kind of programming will be needed to retrofit a 2014.

I totally agree with you, however, It would be cool to have it integrated.

just another thing to take your truck in for recalls on. also im sure it would not work near as well as a mifi. look at how great the programming is on the existing system. so many bugs.
