2015 1500 4wd rear window defog

Hi guys, I sell trucks but my guy out back says there's no way to replace the rear defog in the new chevy pickup without having light on the dash that cannot be dissabled. any suggestions?

Replace with what? New OEM equip? Changing the glass out for glass without defogger? What light on dash? Just about anything can be tuned out or programmed off. <Obvious warranty issue unless dealer does it, if they can. I would think if you replaced with OEM or OEM equivalent glass (safelight or others) It should plug in and work. If you have some more details as to what you're trying to accomplish, someone may be able to help more. I'm just posing some general info questions.
