99 Up Quarter Window Air leak

Recommended Posts

Anyone found a way to stop the air leak on the rear quarter glass on the extended cab. I have heard of a few having to be replaced. I’m thinking about permanently sealing it shut, as I never open it except when trying to figure out how to get it to shut a bit tighter.

A bit of rtv on the seal and close it overnight should take care of the problem. Any other answers out there?

I had the same problem, dealer replaced window when new, didn't help. What I did was drill a small hole in the plastic moulding beside the latch and put a small black Ty-Rap thru the hole and tightened around the latch, this pulls the latch in slightly, resulting in a tighter seal. worked for me, no more noise even on the biggest crosswind. You can't see the Ty rap when the latch is closed.
