If the CEL came on, and then went off on it's own (as in, you didn't use a code reader to clear it), then there should be history codes stored in the computer.  If your dealership claims there's no code, they will have cleared it, or not even bothered to hook their computer up to your truck, and then just straightup lied to you.

 

If you have onstar, maybe get them to give you a report of what codes the truck has...
