Hi All,

I've been looking for a hood deflector for my new 2014 Silverado LTZ that does not use 3m tape or clips that you have to attach to the hood to install. I think I have found one with EGR but wanted to know if anyone has this installed. Havent been able to find pictures of it on a 2014 vehicle. I contacted customer service with EGR and they didnt have a picture of it installed either but were able to confirm how it attaches to factory holes on the under side of the hood. See attached instructions for attachement.

So Anyone have any pics of these deflectors installed?

Thanks!

When I was looking for one that didn't have tape or the need for drilling, I found and purchased the Stampede hood shield. All it does is mount the same way has the EGR that you have pictured where it uses existing holes from the weatherstrip, but just uses different plastic clips that you just push in the same holes. They function like the clips that hold the radiator shroud on. I first worried about it moving, especially after interstate speeds and so far it hasn't budged. I've had it on for 5 months, traveled on the interstate plenty of times and even had it up to 98 mph a couple times on a back road and it still hasn't moved. Also they come with different looks, like chrome, clear and camo. It also is a nice height without being too low profile or stick up/out too much.

I did it by myself, but does help to have an extra set of hands. All I did was push the clips in halfway and then centered it and then pushed them all the way down.

Ended up ordering the EGR one and trying it out. It indeed attaches to the holes under the weather strip as shown in the image in the original post. No tape, no clips. Went on very easily and seems to be very secure. Screw snug it up tight. Not even a rattle when you close the hood. So far very happy with it.
