new wheels

What do you all think. Got new rounds this morning. MT Classic II's with 265 bfg's. The 285's were not even close to fitting even with my t-bars cranked all the way. Due to a 16x8 wheel with only 4" of back spacing.

I will get some better shots soon.here

Boy does that make a difference over the stock steel wheels!!! You've gotta be thrilled every time you look at your truck now!!! :thumb:

Cowboy...285's most likley would work on the stockers. Although the tire guy said it varies from truck to truck. 285's even work on 4.5" back spaced wheels I just really liked the cII's. To me they were worth more with the 265's than any other with 285's. I even could have had Classic 2's in a 5" bs but I wanted the "deepest dish" I could get so it was 4" and 265 for me. I still have to trim some plastic, that 1/2" backspace less makes a huge difference.

Hey Ski.............

Did/have you run into any tire problems having the 265's stretched to a 4" back spacing? Does the extra 1/2 inch in backspacing make the truck handle any better or did you just want to put more rubber on the ground?
