Nav/Radio LCD too bright at night

I am not sure if this has been covered before but I can not find anything.

During night drive, instrument cluster brightness is ok but the LCD is way too bright. Using the dialadjusting it can reduce it to minimum and it is ok but the instrument cluster is too dark.

I looked in the electrical, I found they are controlled via X2 (blue connector) and pin 8 and 9. Jumping one to 12v(as full brightness supplies 12v) and both lights up and not separated.

I do notice that when the dial is almost at minimal, it only adjust the LCD brightness so that the instrument cluster and nav screen is at closest brightness, at 90% down, nav LCD is slightly brighter

Any help in reducing only the LCD would be great, or even just making LCD darker at night time and cluster is brighter would work too.

Its on auto, I tried in day and night, same brightness.

Auto basically sets the map background to white or black, LCD brightness does not change unless you change it with the dial in night time with auto on or just plain night mode

Maybe a tinted screen protector for the Info screen?

But it would be dark in the day time! sometimes it is hard to see the backup camera already!

The only other things I can think of is to look up the circuit on GM Upfitter and see if you can put in a variable resistor or get ahold of Chris White (GTPrix) (maybe check out his website first to see if he has a fix on another model)
