Thx, this is an option to fix my truck, its been acting like it has a bent rim in the rear. I have changed rear tires twice, on 20's now with new tires. Did Shocks and u-joints only thing it can be are the leaf springs, or the Slip Yoke. I found that is was scorned * ? ribbed from the Transfer case bearings going bad, so I replaced the case and bearing. but never did the Slip Yoke. MY truck is going in the shop Today I'll post what happens. This is just one of those cases were eyes on is really needed.

I made the mistake of not balancing it after replacing the the u joints and buzzed my way annoyingly down I80 for 1200 miles the next day :(

Ya don't need to balance a driveshaft after doing anything , it's balanced already

Unless the weight gets knocked off

There is no putting a shaft where ya got it except for the phased slip joint in the middle of a 2 pc shaft which is master splined anyways

Come on guys .... Common sense , mechanical common sense

Ok just got done with 3 shops, got it maybe, I have it at a buddies shop on the lift and lifted up on the rear wheel and saw the leaf spring come apart ie major movement there is only 2/1 leafs on my truck 2 spring with one overload spring the two spring damn near came apart when I barely lifted on the tire. I then drove over to the parts store and grapped two leaf clamps and the truck is running better, I'm going to get it on I-95 and see if that's the trouble here. someone hualed alot with this truck, should I start a new post, saying leaf springs worn out or something I have never had a truck need them, altho heard of it, be what a shame I have to put her back together. Thx for the replies. Could this be bad, I have a trip Friday to Tally FL about 8hrs north of here should I postone it and fix the truck or can it wait till I get back or fix it up there, I can't find any of these truck on the coast where I'm at. I think with the clamps on it will safe the tires from chopping, any help would be great thankx guys !!!!!

hmmmm, someone I know who works with AAM directly (the company who makes GM truck driveshafts and differentials) said when they assemble them they balance them as an assembled unit, so when disassembled and new U joints installed, they should be re balanced, I know it made a big difference for mine.
