'90 1500 new motor

I'm am looking at a 1990 1500. The motor is trash. I have a '98 jimmy can I use the motor from the jimmy to fix the truck. Also can i use the jimmy's limited slip rear in in the pick up. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  I used to keep it clean, but now I just don’t care and yes, it’s very dusty. Maybe I’ll get a wild hair and clean it one of these days.

  I think the key point to longevity that may be being missed is the way the vehicle is being used. Long operating times with limited cold starts is one. Sustained speeds is another. Vehicles get better fuel mileage on highways for that reason.
