LED DRL envy?

I'm sure there are plenty of folks on here that will think this is a bit ridiculous, but I wanted to "upgrade" my DRLs to LED, like all the new kids have. Purchased these via Amazon; they are made by Philips, primarily for European applications. I removed my front tow hooks and mounted these in their place; I thought they fit in there pretty well. These are full bright when the headlights are off and go to half-bright when the headlights are on (at night). I also pulled the fuses to disable the OEM DRLs.

Did you have a write up on how you wee able to install them like that to reduce power with headlights on? As of now during the day i turn my headlights to parking and turn on my Rigid Duallys LED's. Then at night i use headlights.

They come with a control box with three input wires. One each that hook to the positive and negative on the battery and one wire that goes to a parking light +. When it senses battery voltage above 13 volts, it knows the vehicle is running and turns on the DRLs. When it senses a current going to the parking light bulb, it reduces the brightness of the DRLs.
