Intellilink software version

I have a 2014 Sierra CC with intellilink and the software version is 23174397

 

Question 1 - Is there an update available or how do i check?

 

Question 2 - My buddy has a 2015 Sierra HD CC and he has intellilink but one thing I hate is on my system when it detects someone in the passenger i can input addresses and connect a new bluetooth device while moving, basically all open system, but in his when he is moving no matter if someone is in the passenger seat it won't let you use any of those features? anyone know whats up with that?

Unless you just bought it you probably have an update available as the latest version was just released a couple months ago. So many options on these vehicles the only way to know for sure is to have the dealer enter your VIN in the system and compare to your software version. I waited until just before 36K so I would have the most recent update available before having mine done. Took about 90 minutes and it was worth it as a lot of the bugs in system operation are gone now. Good luck with yours.

i have a 2014 all terrain and when in the bluetooth audio mode "just hit media" i have a black rectangular box on the left side of the screen. but in xm or normal radio there is no box is that normal?

INCREDIBLY FAST is MyLink compared with IntelliLink..... i have my Denali on the dealer and rented a Suburban with MyLink and put my usb with all my mp3s (i removed it from my truck before leaving on the dealer) and the dashboard interactions is VERY FAST

 

i will post my IntelliLink software version as soon as i get the truck back for comparison with DenaliHD 2015.5 versions ... i may have to harass the dealer a bit more for a software update... idk

Did you ever look into this more? I have a 2015.5 Denali HD and notice the same thing. The Intellilink system is painfully slow.
