Rosen CS-GM1210-US Navigation Installed / Couple Pictures

I've recently installed the Rosen Navigation system in my 2010 GMC Sierra SLT "All-Terrain" and I love it. I originally wanted the Advent OGM1 as most do, however hard to find. So I went with this system. I highly recommend this unit if your looking for one.

Sorry about that Ryan!

The Rosen Navigation system is truly a plug and play system! Unit comes with all the cables you'll need.

The most frustrating thing about the install was trying to cram all the cables behind the unit. Other then that install was pretty easy. Note; if your truck did not come with a Navigation system from the factory you'll have to install the GPS antenna under the dash (located to the right of the defrost vent). Below I posted a picture of that. If you have the upscale interior as my SLT does, GM has a nice little shelf to mount the GPS antenna. I've posted a picture of a splash/startup screen I made every time my unit boots. I can not say enough good things about this unit. I original wanted the factory unit (too expensive), then I wanted the Advent OGM1 (too hard to find and no longer making the unit) and so I finally went with this unit. If you decide to purchase this unit you will not regret it and purchase it through Amazon as it was the cheapest price I found.

My Like's:

*The Navigation system is wonderful (iGO Primo 2.0), very detailed and can be tailored to your preference. The navigation is always ready to go, GPS and maps are ready to go in less than 20 seconds after starting the truck. Maps are updated through the USB port using a USB drive.

*DVD player works great as well, no issues in my opinion.

*Micro SD card (supports up to 16GB card) can play movies, songs, pictures/etc. Very nice.

*CD/MP3 player works as it should and displays all the info you need on screen.

*Couple AV connections for added camera's, LCD monitors/etc. You can have either a front or backup camera installed and view it while driving down the road.

*Bose and non-Bose capable.

*Steering wheel controls all work.

*I did not have to buy a lockpick hardness to get the unit to play movies and add an address into the NAV while driving. In the instructions you are to connect a pink wire to the parking brake. Which in turn, allows video play back/etc. What I did was connect it to the bolt that holds the brake pedal sensor. This is grounded, so basically just ground that wire and video/etc while driving. :driving:

*Pandora capable

*Can stream Bluetooth audio

*Comes with integrated Bluetooth. If your truck came with Bluetooth I recommend using the factory as your Bluetooth button does not control Rosen's Bluetooth. You'll have to hit the button on the Rosen unit to activate its voice control and I noticed it has a hard time understand what I'm saying.

*You can make your own startup/splash screen you want.

My Dislikes:

*Vehicle sound tones such as turn signal, flashers and back-up sensors no longer chime through the drivers side speaker. The sound comes from an integrated speaker on the Rosen wire harness behind the unit. It works ok, just not as a nice tone as factory.

Anyhow, tell me what y'all think and I'll try to answer any questions. Hope I helped or gave some insight to someone!

Daniel

Thanks it looks great. I just have the LT interior. I do have it on my wish list on Amazon. Headers for the car are my next mod though

Your Welcome, I would imagine GM has a place for the Antenna on the LT interior as well because some LT trucks came with factory navigation. When you purchase it and are ready for the install let me know if I can help in anyway. You'll be pleased with it. ADCmobile.com has some nice detailed videos on it. Headers on your car will be sweet. I've got the Flowmaster force II exhaust, switched the 50 series for a super 44 muffler and 3in tip for a pair of Magnaflow 2.5inlet/4outlet 22inch long tips. Truck sounds mean!!! Thought about removing the resonator....still on the fence about that.
