Heater core / hose removal

My heater core is clogged it seems.

The hoses connect to a plastic piece that connects to the heater core.

Now incase the hoses do not come off the plastic connection.

What does it take to remove the plastic connection from the heater core or are they remove able ?

I'd hate to break the plastic while trying to take the heater hoses off of it.

Do they remove like high pressure fuel lines at an intake?

You use a tool like this. You place it around the cores metal pipe and pull it into the plastic connector causing it to release

Ok, it's similar to the fuel lines then.
