Gas tank shield!

What ever happen to the gas tank metal bottom shield/skid plate when you get the plowing package? When did that disappear? I thought I had one on my 2008 Silverado but I don't see one on the 2014. I have the plastic shields on the other parts of the truck which were metal on my 2008. GM doesn't ever have anything as an option for the gas tank. What a joke GM doesn't provide this on a 4X4 anymore.

Either buy or make one if you want it. It'd take less than an hour to fab one up and install it.

I believe if you saw plastic, it's the tank itself. My '15 SLE has a fuel tank skid plate.

Don't remember the last time I saw a metal gas tank plate. Z71's come with plastic plates. At least on Silverado's
